The Midwestern Criminal Justice Association (MCJA) is pleased to announce a call for applications for its Undergraduate Student Registration Waiver. The waiver provides registration support for a select number of undergraduate students attending and presenting at MCJA’s Annual Meeting. All applications are due by July 15th annually.
Eligibility
Students must meet all of the following criteria for award:
– Current undergraduate student enrolled in at least one (1) credit hour during the Fall semester/term of the Annual Meeting
– Must attend MCJA Annual Meeting
– Must be the lead presenter or first author on a submitted paper/poster
– Only one (1) student per paper/poster may be eligible to receive a registration waiver
Application Process
Applications must be submitted by the undergraduate student and include:
– Completed application form
– Proof of student status (i.e., proof of enrollment in at least one [1] credit hour during the Fall semester/term of the MCJA Annual Meeting)
– A copy of the email confirmation received by submitting a paper/poster for the Annual Meeting; please contact the 1st Vice President if you did not receive confirmation
Completed applications should be emailed to mcja@mcja.org with “Undergraduate Student Registration Waiver” in the subject line. Applications are due by July 15th. The MCJA Executive Board will notify awardees on or around August 1st.
Awards and Distribution
– A limited number of student registration waivers may be granted annually across institutions
– MCJA reserves the right to make fewer or no waivers based on the applicant pool and available funding
